Certified CMII Providers

Role of a Certified CMII Provider

Requirements for a Successful CMII Implementation

One or more as-planned and as-released baselines are being used to manage the entire hierarchy of physical items for a product. Each item within the hierarchy is linked to its own unique set of design and process-related documents.

A closed-loop change process is used to update the baseline/(s). The closed-loop process is managed by three change specialist functions (I, II and III) and includes a fast-track option. Each document is co-owned by its assigned creator and one or more users. At least 70% of all changes are processed on a fast-track basis. ECNs are used to create and change documents. Work authorizations are used to spend resources on physical items.
